On the Seventh Day of Christmas Sweaters,
Dallas gave to me--
...a classy Christmas tree!
A sequin Santa Claus....
...beaded holly leaves...
...and a white, sequined icicle frieze!
It's been a long week of daily double-shifts, so this Friday all I wanted was a cozy sweater to get me through the first part of my day, and this hunter green number fits the bill. I bought it on my trip to Dallas, and though my brother gave me a definite eyebrow raise when I refused to put it down, I'm really happy I went for it. It's incredibly warm (maybe a little too warm for today's milder temperature!), and the Santas' fuzzy beards, robes, and accompanying snowflakes make it comfort food in sweater form.
The gold beads on his hat, as well as the ropes tracing his walking stick and gift bag, give it nice texture and dimension. And, to play up the fuzzy yarn used (it may be angora, but the content label is about as vague as possible--54% Ramie, 44% Cotton, 2% Others), I thought it'd look awesome with my furry earmuffs.
I love these. Pulling them out of storage is the best part of winter. They're a gift from my mom, bought at the Columbus Circle Holiday Market, which I'll definitely photograph for a post later this week.
I mean I could talk more about it, or, just,
