The Twelve Days of Christmas Sweaters: On the Eighth Day...

On the Eight Day of Christmas Sweaters,
The Eighties gave to me--
trees and trees and trees…

a European Santa...
…a festive beaded vest...

a classy Christmas tree!
a sequin Santa Claus...

…beaded holly leaves...
knit poinsettias...

…and a white, beaded icicle frieze!

This morning's one of those rare days I got to relax and lounge around, and having a moment to relax and take in the Christmas tree, I think I'm finally starting to feeling the Christmas spirit.  So really, what better sweater?

I've been waiting for a bit to wear this one, and I think today's the right day.  I've been wearing a lot of black lately for my holiday job (I hardly ever wear it normally), so it's nice to be able to jazz up my retail black.

This thing has beaded trees all over it.   Here's a detail from the sleeve:

And I imagine the designer of this sweater thought, "Listen, we have as many trees as it can hold, but it's just not festive enough.  Hold it-- I've got it.  Dangling pearl trim beading.  I'm a totally rad genius."
