On the Ninth Day of Christmas Sweaters,
Brooklyn gave to me--
Even more poinsettias...
…trees and trees and trees...
…a festive beaded vest…
…a classy Christmas tree!
…a sequin Santa Claus...
…beaded holly leaves...
…and a white, sequined icicle frieze!
I found this sweet, bright poinsettia sweater at the first Brooklyn Night Bazaar of the year. I'm really glad it was there, because other than this sweater (and the Third Day's sweater, which I bought together), the bazaar was a bust--mostly artisan pickle sellers and 90s duds. And 90s clothes are great, but I need to get over having worn them the first time around.
This knit is so bright and happy, with gold flecks, it'll be a nice antidote to the overcast (but warm!) weather today.
Today's unseasonable warm in New York--we're talking a balmy 70 degrees out, the world is basically ending--so I'll actually be able to just wear this sweater over my black dress to work, maybe with a trench coat. Having a holiday retail job's been great in a number of ways, but boy, I'll be glad to go back to wearing anything but black!
