The Twelve Days of Christmas Sweaters: On the Eleventh Day...

On the Eleventh Day of Christmas Sweaters,
The Eighties gave to me--
A creepy peeping Santa…

the French word for Christmas...

…lots of red poinsettias...

…trees and trees and trees...
European Santas...

a festive beaded vest…
a classy Christmas tree!

a sequin Santa Claus...
…beaded holly leaves...
…knit poinsettias...
…and a white, sequined icicle frieze!

This is, at one and the same time, one of my best and creepiest sweaters, and I had to post I on Christmas Eve, the very day Santa Claus comes to visit. Because Santa peering in your window before delivering gifts?  You better watch out, indeed.

Never has that song sounded more like the tag line to a slasher film.

Seriously, he's pressing a mittened hand against the window. I'm getting creeped out as I type. Obviously, I had to buy this sweater when I found it in Baltimore three years ago, and I'm proud to say this little weirdo actually began my collection.

So hey, happy holidays everybody, and check back in tomorrow for the finale of the Twelve Days of Christmas Sweaters!
